Dozens of American Snout Nose Butterflies graced us with their presence today as they make their way to the Rio Grande Valley. Their mass migration is from the San Marcos area to the tip of South Texas each year until they reach their destination at the Rio Grande River. They are named for their long nose and their small orange, black and brown bodies mimic fall leaves.
