This Westland Lynx helicopter was assigned to HMS Gloucester. When researching the ship, I came across an old HMS Gloucester that entered service just after the restoration of the monarchy, in 1654. Built in East London the frigate cost a whopping £5,400 and when transporting the future King James II to Scotland in 1682, the ship struck a sandbank, sank and 250 people drowned, including members from the Royal Party.
