Today, the African National Congress conveys its deepest condolences and pays tribute to the family, congregation and broader faith community of the Bantu Church of Christ (Ibandla likaKrestu laBantu) at the funeral service of Bishop Tata John Bolana, the fifth Bishop of the Church. Bishop Bolana’s life cannot be understood only through his role within the church. He was part of a proud tradition of faith leaders who recognised that religion in Africa carries a political and moral responsibility
