A vast clean-up operation has been launched along one of Britain’s best-known beaches after huge quantities of plastic beads were washed in from the sea. Environmental groups and volunteers have been working alongside the Environment Agency to clear up the pellets on Camber Sands in East Sussex. Plastic pellets are often used in water treatment.
