This flight was on April 24, 1982, a few months later, the first KC-135 was converted into an R model and flew on August 4, 1982 (they called the engine the F108-CF-100 for the CFM-56-2B1)The 737-300s didn't get them until the first flight on February 24, 1984.These engines were a game changer for the KC-135.
