Heung-min Son has revealed his final “wish and hope” for Tottenham as he bids farewell to the club after 10 years. Son made his final appearance for Tottenham in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Sunday.

An emotional Heung-min Son was in tears as he said goodbye to Tottenham in what is likely to be his last appearance in a Spurs shirt. After announcing he will leave Spurs this summer, Son captained Spurs for the final time as they played Newcastle in a pre-season friendly in his native South Korea.

The game in South Korea was billed as Son Heung-min’s grand farewell after the Spurs captain announced his decision to leave north London. The 33-year-old forward trotted off the pitch to a standing ovation in the 65th minute ahead of what is expected to be a record-breaking move to LAFC.
