Streamer Max said today its ports and news content within the streaming platform will remain a feature at no additional cost to standard and premium tier subscribers in the U.S., reversing plans to charge extra for the sports add-on.

In an utterly shocking, consumer-friendly move, Max won't charge for something previously offered for free. Warner Bros. Discovery said on Wednesday that it's shelving its previously announced plan to charge an extra $10 monthly for sports and news content.

WBD will continue to offer live access to sports through Max if customers opt for the standard or premium, ad-free subscriptions to the service.
