IAEA raises alarm over production of close to weapons grade material, says time is running out for diplomatic recourse to impose new restrictions on program

Iran has sharply increased its stockpile of highly enriched uranium in recent weeks, according to a confidential United Nations report, as Tehran amasses a critical raw material for atomic weapons.

Iran has accelerated the production of near weapons-grade uranium, which is just short of the level needed for atomic bombs. As of February 8, Iran has 274.8 kilograms of uranium enriched up to 60 percent.
