Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs are just around the corner, with the first releases — the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 — dropping on January 30th. The RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will follow that with their own releases in February,

The $750 Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti is still set to release on Feb. 20, but the company’s product page now says the $550 RTX 5070 is coming on March 5 (seen via The Verge ). On Thursday, AMD shared that it will unveil the anticipated Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT on Feb.

Likewise AMD has since inked in "early March" as the launch window for those new GPUs. With that in mind, Nvidia also moving the RTX 5070 to early March seems like a little too much of a coincidence. Odds are, it's an effort to win the PR war with AMD by ensuring that the RX 9070 GPUs have to share the news cycles with the RTX 5070.
