Israel’s army has raided a village in southern Syria to arrest several alleged agents of the Palestinian militant group Hamas

Israel has reportedly reduced its occupation forces in Gaza, shifting its focus toward what it now considers its primary “warfront” against Iran.

Israeli forces conducted an operation in southern Syria to detain several members of Hamas, the military said Thursday.

"Our support for Gaza and our defense of our country against the Zionist aggression against it has continued," a Houthi source told Newsweek.

Israel is reducing its military presence in Gaza to reinforce its northern and eastern borders amid concerns over regional infiltration.

The Israel Defense Forces announced that “troops of the 3rd Brigade, under the command of the 210th Division, completed an operation to apprehend Hamas terrorists operating in the Beit Jinn area of Syria.

Israel said it had launched strikes on weapons belonging to Syria, hours after reports that two projectiles had been fired from Syria into Israel on Tuesday. The Israeli strikes on southern Syria caused "significant human and material losses", Syria's foreign ministry said, adding that Israel was "trying to destabilise the region".

Both countries have targeted each other’s military, nuclear sites, oil depots and other locations at night. But the situation remains normal during the day, letting airlines operate flights.
