The No. 14-ranked Oregon Ducks softball team scored twice before registering their first out during a 9-5 win over San Diego in the team's home opener.
With victories on their resume already over Michigan State and Illinois, the Trojans have the offense to go toe-to-toe with top teams in country. They rank 39th in offensive efficiency ratings, per KenPom, and they’ll need that success to carry over into this matchup.
Four-star safety Xavier Lherisse announced his commitment to the Ducks on Wednesday. He chose the Ducks over Notre Dame, Alabama and Auburn. Hailing from Melbourne, Florida, Lherisse is rated the No. 33 safety and No. 407 overall player in 247Sports' composite rankings.
After three consecutive weeks traveling to tournaments, piling up wins and padding their resume, Oregon softball will be in a familiar dugout.
