Joel Hanley scored his first goal of the season at 13:26 of the third period to lead the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night. Nazem Kadri and Kevin Rooney also had goals for the Flames,
Persistent Hanley comes up big for Flames in 3-2 win over Sharks
On the go-ahead goal at 13:28 of the third period, Hanley took a drop pass from Nazem Kadri and snapped a shot on net. Jonathan Huberdeau, screening in front, dug out the rebound and slid it back to Hanley who ripped a shot past Alexandar Georgiev on his blocker side. He then turned to the roaring home fans pumping his right arm in the air.
Flames' Joel Hanley: Game-winner is first goal of season
Hanley scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Sharks. Hanley's tally in the third period put the Flames ahead for good. It was his first goal of the campaign and his first career game-winner.

Nazem Kadri had a goal and an assist to help the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 win against the San Jose Sharks at Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday. Hanley shot top corner by Georgiev's blocker from the low slot to put Calgary ahead 3-2 at 13:28 of the third period with both teams skating four aside.
