In a LinkedIn post made Monday afternoon titled “Moving Forward at Astronomer,” Pete DeJoy wrote that the public scrutiny of Astronomer has been “unusual and surreal.” However, he argued that the scandal came with its own set of benefits.

Astronomer’s Interim CEO Pete DeJoy has revealed how the “spotlight” on the company amid the Andy Byron kiss cam scandal has affected the team.

Pete DeJoy, who was named interim CEO of Astronomer over the weekend, made his first public comments about his new gig in a post on Monday.

"The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name,” said cofounder Pete DeJoy.
