Discovery will not launch a premium sports add-on tier for its B/R content on Max. B/R Sports content will remain available as part of Max's standard and premium subscription plans. Warner Bros. Discovery will no longer offer B/R Sports and CNN Max content on the Basic with Ads tier starting March 30.

Streamer Max said today its ports and news content within the streaming platform will remain a feature at no additional cost to standard and premium tier subscribers in the U.S., reversing plans to charge extra for the sports add-on.

Warner Bros. Discovery reversed plans announced in September of 2023 to launch a premium tier for sports programming on Max, and said it also would end an experiment called “CNN Max” that attempted to create a new CNN tier for subscribers to the streaming service.
