Wisconsin basketball (22-7, 12-6 Big Ten) fell to No. 10 overall in Joe Lunardi’s ESPN bracketology update on Monday.

In a battle of two top Big Ten teams, the Michigan State Spartans defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 71-62 at the Breslin Center on Sunday. It was a dreadful display of shooting for the Badgers, as Wisconsin finished the game 5-for-32 from behind the three-point line.

The Spartans (24-5, 15-3 Big Ten) have won five straight, putting them in position to contend for the conference championship with a week left in the regular season. The Badgers (22-7, 12-6) had won six of seven. Michigan State freshman Jase Richardson overcame foul trouble in the first half to finish with 11 points, six assists and five rebounds.
