Locked in a conversation of heresy, Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot denied quarterback Kirk Cousins's injury claims.

Thankfully there are two silver linings to this mess: Michael Penix Jr. has shown some flashes that he could be the QB of the future, and Raheem Morris showed the resolve to make the tough calls — indicative that he’s the right man for the job.

The Falcons were unaware that QB Kirk Cousins was dealing with an injury late last season beyond a single injury report. Cousins, who had hurt his right shoulder and right elbow in Week 10, is expected to remain QB 2 in 2025.
