Ahead of 'The Night Agent' Season 2, which returns Jan. 23 to Netflix, star Gabriel Basso opened up about taking hits and doing his own stunts.

During Gabriel Basso’s Thursday appearance on “Live With Kelly and Mark,” the “Night Agent” star comically attempted to avoid hugging Kelly Ripa in front of her longtime husband, Mark Consuelos. Basso, 30, who was on the morning show to promote Season 2 of the Netflix thriller, walked out and approached Ripa with his hand extended outward.

Lara Spencer jokingly scolded “The Night Agent” star Gabriel Basso for the one-word title he gave her during their sit-down interview on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday. After discussing Season 2 of Basso’s Netflix action series, Spencer praised the actor for being “so authentic.”

The second season of The Night Agent will be released on Netflix on January 23. For fans in the US, Netflix releases new titles at 12am and for those watching in the UK, the series will be released at 8am. The season is once again made up of 10 episodes, which will all be released on the streaming platform at the same time.
