President-elect Donald Trump said mass deportations will begin “very quickly” after taking office, one of a number of plans he discussed in a phone interview with NBC News on Saturday.

The state’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom invited Trump last week, but the president-elect told NBC News that he felt it was “better if I went as president.”

In Gaza, Palestinians can expect the fighting to stop and the Israeli army to withdraw to the east, away from populated areas, allowing civilians to return to their shattered homes. Around 90% of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million people has been displaced.

Hamas and Israel are tentatively moving forward with a ceasefire, and people across the globe, including in Oklahoma, are watching closely.

Advances have been made over the weekend in negotiations to broker a deal that would end Israel's deadly assault on Gaza and see the release of hostages held by Hamas.
