The Seahawks announced the hiring of two assistant coaches who will be working to improve their rushing attack.

One of the more notable things about the Seattle Seahawks last year was the youth and relative inexperience of their coaching staff. Head coach Mike Macdonald, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, defensive coordinator Aden Durde and special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh were all first timer’s at these positions at the NFL level.

The Seattle Seahawks announced they have hired former Saints assistant Rick Dennison as run game coordinator/senior offensive advisor and former Titans TE coach Justin Outten as run game specialist and assistant OL coach.

As expected, the Seattle Seahawks have added two new coaches to their offensive staff: Rick Dennison and Justin Outten. Interestingly enough, both men were former offensive coordinators for the Denver Broncos at one point in their careers.

In addition to the Outten hire, the expected move of bringing in Dennison is now official. The former will have the title of assistant offensive line coach in addition to his run-game specialist role,

Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Seahawks are hiring Justin Outten as run game specialist. Outten, 41, was previously with the Titans. He was the running backs coach and run game coordinator in 2023 under former head coach Mike Vrabel.

The Seahawks added two more assistants to their coaching staff on Tuesday, hiring Rick Dennison as run game coordinator and senior offensive advisor and Justin Outten as run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach.
