President Trump on Thursday visited Iowa to kick off a year-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding at an event that doubled as a victory lap for the passage of a major legislative package.

Trump's trade policies have hit Iowa's farmers hard, especially with China's retaliatory tariffs slashing soybean exports and prices.

Several speakers, including Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, will take the stage before Trump's speech.
