Despite losing their first game of the season, the Hurricanes still control their own destiny and can make the ACC title game and College Football Playoff.

Unsurprisingly, the Hurricanes took a tumble in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings following their first loss of the season. Fortunately for Miami, a path to the playoff is still wide open despite falling to No. 9 on Tuesday after ranking fourth in the initial rankings. UM also fell to No. 12 in other polls.
