The Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform integrates Cisco and Nvidia silicon to support enterprise AI workloads.

Nvidia Corp., the top provider of chips used in new artificial intelligence computers, is extending a partnership with networking-gear maker Cisco Systems Inc. in a push aimed at making it easier for corporations to deploy AI systems.

Nvidia and Cisco are intensifying their collaboration. The network specialist is now also contributing to Nvidia's Spectrum-X reference architecture.

Nvidia will couple Cisco Silicon One technology with Nvidia SuperNICs as part of its Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform, and Cisco will build systems that combine Nvidia Spectrum silicon with Cisco OS software.
