LOS ANGELES - Frustrations continue for air travelers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and other major airports nationwide. This comes after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered flight cuts to ensure safety.
The decision to reduce flight capacity could cut thousands of flights per day. In total, five California airports are impacted, including three in SoCal.
Delays of nearly 1½ hours were anticipated for flights heading to LAX between 8 and 10 p.m. In San Diego, delays of 1 hour, 20 minutes were expected between 9 and 10 p.m.

Some travelers flying to or from Los Angeles, Ontario and San Diego international airports ran into flight delays or cancellations Friday as the U.S. Department of Transportation began imposing cutbacks in flight capacity at 40 major airports nationally.
Most flights at the San Diego International Airport (SAN) were delayed an average of 59 minutes on Sunday, Nov. 2 from several major airports around the country due to lack of staffing, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland, Denver, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Indianapolis and more, according to the FAA.
