Carlos Sainz has replaced retired four-times Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel as a director of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), the trade union of Formula One drivers announced on Sunday.

Carlos Sainz has become a director of the Formula 1 drivers' body the Grand Prix Drivers' Association. The 30-year-old Spaniard, who has moved from Ferrari to Williams for this season, fills the vacancy left by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel,

The Grand Prix Drivers Association (GPDA) has a new director. Sebastian Vettel has stepped away from the role, causing the association to search for a replacement. Carlos Sainz will join the team to work alongside George Russell.
